George E. May, Jr.

George E. May, Jr., 74, of Swedesboro, NJ passed away at home on Tuesday, September 10th.  He was born in Taylor County, Texas and was raised and educated in Chester.  George went on to earn his Bachelor’s degree from Penn State University.  He was a proud veteran of the US Army.  George enjoyed taking vacations, especially cruises, with his late wife, Linda.  What he enjoyed most was spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents, George, and Gloria May; wife, Linda May; brother, Bob May.

He is survived by his children, Stefanie Hansell, Georgeann Littleton (Scott); grandchildren, Gregory (Alice), Benjamin, Sarah, Lauren, Luke; sister, Bonnie Rafferty; brother, Rick May.

Friends and family are invited to visitation on Wednesday, September 18th from 1-2pm at the Joseph A> Ward Funeral Home 1459 Market St. Linwood, Pa.  Burial will follow in Lawn Croft Cemetery.  Donations in his name can be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org/donate

  1. George I am so at a loss thinking you are gone. You were always my protector. I am happy that you are with Linda again, I know for many years that it all you ever wanted. I will miss you forever, I love you brother.

  4. Rest in peace my dear friend. I love you and will miss you as I have Linda for last 16 years. But you are together again & forever as it should be. We have shared so many wonderful memories I wish there could have been more. Love you always Nina. 🙏💔tell Linda I have missed her so much. My heart is broken. 😞 💔RIP .
