Florence P. Wakeling, nee Simon, passed away November 17, 2008 at Union Hospital Elkton MD. Born and raised in Delaware to the late Herbert and Reba Webster Simon, Florence has been a resident of Elkton for the past 8 years previously residing in Marcus Hook PA for most of her life. She was employed by Marcus Hook Florist in Marcus Hook for many years.

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved being in the kitchen. She was well known for her cooking among family and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband George W. “Bud” Wakeling and her parents Herbert and Reba Simon and her siblings. She is survived by her son George W. “Bill” Wakeling and 2 grandsons Timothy and Christopher, and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to her funeral service Friday 12noon, Joseph A. Ward Funeral Home. Inc., 1549 Market St, Linwood PA; calling from 11-12 at the funeral home; burial Lawn Croft Cemetery.
