Florence Allen, 81, of Aston Died Saturday, March 12 at home. She was born in Wilmington, De to John and Mary Mele Collins. She was reared and educated in Upland, where she was a graduate of Chester High School. She was a long time employee of the Ship and Shore company and also worked as an office manager for the L & L Special Furnace Company.

Florence served as a Girl Scout leader for troop 542 in Upland, Pa for many years. She enjoyed spending time at her beach house in Maryland. She also enjoyed reading and knitting. What she enjoyed most, However, was time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her Husband, Stirl Allen in 1993; Daughter, Noreen Allen Armour in 2003; Brother, Michael Collins and Sister, Jane Collins Rismiller. She is survived by her Daughter and Son-in-Law, Nancy and Jerry Kester Jr. of Aston; 6 Grandchildren, MJ Armour Gilbert, Brian Kester, Leon Armour, Matthew Kester, Holly Armour Crist and Kim Kester Stalker; 9 Great-grandchildren.

Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30am on Wednesday, March 16 at Our Lady of Charity Church in Brookhaven, Pa. Friends and Family may call from 8:30am-10am on Wednesday morning at the Joseph A. Ward Funeral Home, 1459 Market St. Linwood, Pa. Entombment will follow in Lawn Croft Cemetery.
