Eric W. Gardner, 35, of Linwood, passed away suddenly on February 27th at Wilmington Hospital. Eric was born in Ridley Township where he was raised and educated. He was a graduate of Ridley High School with the class of 2008. After graduation, Eric attended the Delaware County Police Academy and graduated with class # 132. He worked as the public relations officer in Ridley Township prior to becoming a police dispatcher for Delaware County for the last 12 years.
Eric was active in the AFSCME union where he served as a union representative. He was also a member of the Woodlyn Fire Company with whom he served as a vice president. Eric was an avid gun collector. What he enjoyed most was spending time with his family, especially his children.
Eric is survived by his wife, Gabrielle Flynn; Children, Christopher, Maverick, and Iris; father-in-law, Joseph Flynn; grandmother, Joyce Wilkerson.
Friends and family are invited to his viewing on Saturday, March 7th from 11am-2pm at the Minshall Shropshire Bleyler Funeral Home Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rd., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063.
Burial will be private.

Eric was my down the street neighbor growing up. He hung out with my brother OFTEN. My one brother said “I’ll always remember him as the nicest kid in the neighborhood”
