Eleanor Smith – 5/9/2021

Eleanor Smith, 86, of Upland passed away on Sunday, May 9th, 2021.  She was born in Chester to the late Bennett and Amelia Bristow.  Eleanor worked in the maintenance department in the Garnet Valley School District for many years until her retirement.  Eleanor loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Allen Smith (2003); 9 Siblings.  She is survived by her daughter, Janet Brooks (James) (; grandchildren, Elaine Wiley (Kerry) and Stacy Brooks (Carl); great-grandchildren, Riley, Erin, Hunter, and Willow.

Her funeral service will be held on Friday, May 14th at 11am at the Joseph A. Ward Funeral Home 1459 Market St. Linwood, PA.  Friends and family are invited to her viewing from 10-11am.  Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

  4. Eleanor was awesome!!! She always had a smile that could light up a room. She was always kind to my Mom and my family. I remember her well when we would visit with her in Upland. Janet and I used to jump on the bed springs in her room. I am sure Janet doesn’t remember as she is younger than I. But, Eleanor never got angry with us. She is a gem to be cherished always and will never be forgotten!❤️💚💜♥️
