Eleanor Homa, 92, of Linwood passed away on Friday August 18th. She spent 28 years in the Religious Life as a Sister of Mary Immaculate of the Byzantine Rite, where she served as a teacher for 20 of those years. She was employed at the A.I. DuPont Institute for 23 years in administration as a clinic supervisor. She served her church for 15 years as a Eucharistic Minister, and as a Lector for 10 years. She also was a member of the Legion of Mary. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Catherine Homa; Brother, Rev. Thomas Homa. She is survived by her sister, Dorothy Ward; Brothers, John Homa, Jr. and Edward Homa.
Her funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, August 23rd at 10:30am at St. John Fisher Church 4225 Chichester Ave. Boothwyn, PA. Friends and family are invited to call from 9:30-10:30am in church. You are home now Eleanor able to praise the Lord for all eternity. Although we only met several years ago we all became fast friends. Your friendship was true and you always gave back more than you ever asked for. Thank you for always being there for us your candor, honesty and confidence has touched our lives in more ways than I can possibly describe. Thank You for being a Great Friend and in doing so introduced us to new friends in your family. God Bless and Peace be with you.
