Edward A. “Sarge” Sargent, Sr., 63, of Linwood passed away peacefully on April 17th, 2013 surrounded by his family at Crozer Chester Medical Center. Mr. Sargent was born and raised in Chester, PA. He worked for many years as an auto body specialist for Larry’s Auto Body.

He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He had a special talent of instantly becoming friends with anyone he would meet.

He is predeceased by his parents, Lawrence and Pauline Sargent and his brother, Paul D. Sargent. He is survived by his daughter, Nicole Sargent (Tara) of Folcroft; Sons, Edward Sargent, Jr. (Nicole) of Boothwyn and Christopher Sargent; 5 grandchildren, Billy, Julianna, Bryanna, Vincent and Savannah; ex-wife, Rene Sargent; Sisters, Dolores MacMilan (Malcolm) of Arizona, Jean Campese (Frank) of Aston, Lucille Guasperini (Gus) of Aston, Helen Simpson (Charles) of Georgia, Lori Wilwert(John) of Brookhaven, Paula Jean Collier (Monty) of Arizona; Brothers, Lawrence Sargent, Jr. and Randy Sargent; Many nieces and nephews.

His funeral service will be held on Monday, April 22nd at 1pm at the Joseph A. Ward Funeral Home, 1459 Market St., Linwood, Pa. Friends and family are invited to call from 12pm-1pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Aston, PA.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Ward Funeral Home to defer the cost of the funeral.
