Dorothy E. Ferrari Warder, 94 of Trainer died Tuesday March 2, 2010 at home. Born to Justin J. and Maria DiNocola Ferrari in Chester, where she was reared and educated. She has lived in Trainer for over 60 years.
She was a woman who devoted her life to her family. A longtime member of Holy Saviour Catholic Church, Linwood, she also volunteered at the Silberman Center at Crozer-Chester Medical Center for the last 20 years. A former member of the Resurrection of Our Lord Catholic Church in Chester where she was member of the Church’s Altar Society.
A former Den Mother for the Cub Scout Troop in Trainer. She enjoyed cooking and baking and was affectionately known as the Cookie Lady at the hospital. Known as a kind and caring person, she touched the lives of the people who knew her.
Wife of the late Ira T. “Hap” Warder, Sr. who died in 1987. She is survived by two sons, Ira T. Warder, Jr. of Marco Island, FL and Fred J. Warder, with whom his mother made her home in Trainer. Four grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated 10am Friday at Holy Saviour Catholic Church, Linwood. Burial will follow in Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood. Friends may call Thursday evening after 7 pm and after 8:30am Friday at the Ward Funeral Home, 1459 Market St., Linwood.
