Dorothy “Dottie Jean” J. Giles Zebley, 51 of the Linwood section of Lower Chichester died Monday June 29, 2009 at Crozer-Chester Medical Center Upland. She was born in Pottsville, Pa. to Donald W. Sr. and Diane Dutton Giles. Reared and educated in Chester, she attended the former Resurrection of Our Lord Elementary School and Chester High School, graduating with the class of 1975. She then went on to receive her nursing degree from Our Lady of Angels College in Aston. She was a registered nurse for Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital in Darby for 20 years before her retirement in 2005.
She enjoyed doing Arts and Crafts and liked to bowl playing for many years in several local leagues. She also loved to follow the Eagles and Phillies. A woman devoted to her home and family, Dottie Jean especially enjoyed time spent with her grandson.
Survived by her husband of 14 years Paul L. Zebley. Two sons Joshua Giles Rojas, Sr. and Matthew Paul Zebley both at home. One brother Donald W. Giles Jr. of Millsboro, DE. One sister Alice M. Rodriguez of Linwood. Her loving mother Diane Dutton Giles of Pottsville, one grandson, Joshua Giles Rojas, Jr. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and her lifelong friend Leah Taylor of Aston.
Her funeral service will be 8:30 Friday evening at the Ward Funeral Home, 1459 Market St., Linwood, where there will be calling from 6 to 8:30. Burial will be private.
