Donna Marie Maitland (nee Wesley), age 69, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026. She was raised in Boothwyn, PA and later resided in Marcus Hook, PA for 45 years.

Donna was a graduate of Chichester High School (Class of 1974). She worked as a machine operator for Fibre-Metal in Concordville, PA for more than 30 years. More recently, she worked at Kimberly-Clark in Chester, PA for 15 years prior to her retirement in 2022. Throughout her career, she was also a long-time member of the United Steelworkers (USW) where she served in various roles during her time at Fibre-Metal including shop steward.

Donna loved the beach, she frequently spent time at the Jersey Shore and Delaware Beaches. She also enjoyed spending time at the casino playing the slots. Throughout her life, Donna had numerous dogs and cats that she greatly cherished. She will be remembered as a fiercely independent, hardworking woman who always loved a good laugh.

She was predeceased by her parents, James H. and Esther D. Wesley, and her sister, Doreen Bateman.

She is survived by her daughter Danielle “Dani” Brosnan and her husband David “DJ” Brosnan who was like a son to Donna providing her care, compassion, and support. She is also survived by her sisters Dawn (Jim) Schmidt and Denise (Jeff) O’Flynn plus numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Her celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 21 at 11 a.m. Friends and family are invited for visitation from 10-11 a.m. at the Joseph A. Ward Funeral Home, 1459 Market Street, Linwood, PA. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name can be made to Forgotten Cats www.forgottencats.org/donate or the Dementia Society of America www.DementiaSociety.org/donate.
