April 24th, 2013
Craig (Snave) Snavely, born on Halloween 1954, died Monday, 4/22/13, suddenly at home of natural causes. He was the son of Alice and the late Henry Snavely. He was the husband, soul mate and best friend of Dustie, celebrating 32 years together last October.
Craig worked for the last 20 years at Penn Manor School District as a receiver/custodian. Formerly, he worked in metal fabrication at Goodhart Son’s and the former Permutit Co. He graduated from Hempfield in 1972, was president of the Key Club and an excellent football player.
His very wacky sense of humor made him many friends throughout his life. He will be remembered with fondness by many people whose lives he touched. His brother, Donald preceded him in death in 2004. Besides his wife and Mother, he is survived by two children, Stephanie (Eric) Hershel of Elizabethtown PA and Deirdra Marcella of Denver CO. He also has 3 grandchildren who adore him, Ashleigh Raudenbush, Brianna and Carissa Hershel as well as a Great-grandchild, Jackson Trey Raudenbush. His brother Paul of Mt Joy and sister, Vivian (Elaine) Young also survive him. Many nieces, nephews and cousins will also miss Craig.
All of his friends and family are invited to a lunch in his honor at the Double Tree Resort at 2400 Willow Street Pike, Lancaster, PA on Sunday, April 28th, 1:30 to 5:00 pm.
