Bonnie R. (Dodson) Sculley, longtime Linwood, PA resident, passed away peacefully at home on November 10, 2016. Born November 11, 1938 in Thorndale, Texas, she was the daughter of the late H.C. and Marie Dodson of Austin, Texas. Prior to moving to Pennsylvania in 1962, she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Texas.

Bonnie was the matriarch of her family and dedicated her life to their care. She cherished all of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with her close friend Cookie, family dinners, holiday celebrations, baking with Hannah and caring for her cats and her faithful dog Krimpet.

Bonnie fiercely battled complications from lung cancer for the past eight years with the help from her doctors at Fox Chase Cancer Center. She was a beacon of strength for those who knew and admired her. Bonnie was predeceased by her sister, Betty Jo White of Austin, Texas and her husband and best friend of 48 years, Daniel T. Sculley, of Linwood, PA who passed in 2014. She was also predeceased by her beloved son, Patrick Sr., who passed in 2009.

Bonnie is survived by her loving children Darryl (Adriana) Hurd of Wilmington, DE, J. Kurt Hurd of Weatherly PA, Danielle (Donnie) Sculley-Ellett of Boothwyn, PA and Patrick (Heather) Sculley Jr. of Richmond, KY. Bonnie leaves behind eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Besides her beloved children, Bonnie enjoyed spending time with Chrissy, Stephanie, Ari, Heather and Derek. Bonnie’s legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of those who loved her.

Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, November 17th at 10:30am at St. John Fisher church in Boothwyn. Friends and family are invited to call on Wednesday evening from 7-9pm at the Joseph A. Ward Funeral Home, 1459 Market St. Linwood, PA. Friends may also call again on Thursday morning from 9:30-10:30am at St. John Fisher church. Burial will follow in Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, PA.
