Bessie M. Tinley, nee Stokely, passed away on Sunday, November 11th, 2012 at Crozer Chester Medical Center. She was born in Palmyra, NJ to Cordie and Cecelia Stokely. She was reared and educated in the Upper Chichester area.

Bessie enjoyed going to Booth’s Corner Farmer’s Market, going to flea markets and dancing. She was a long-time member of the Union Gospel Missionary Church in Marcus Hook.

She was predeceased by 4 sisters, Laura Johnson, Margaret Maston, Ruth Morris and Edna Stokely; 2 Brothers, Russell and Arnold Stokely. She is survived by 2 daughters, Kathleen Tinley of Essington and Patricia Tinley of Marcus Hook; 3 Grandsons, Dennis, Billy (Chrissy) and Tony; 1 Great-granddaughter, Haley Mae; 2 Sisters, Nancy Shelton and Betty Jane Newsome; several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to her viewing on Wednesday November 14 from 7pm-8pm at the Joseph A. Ward Funeral Home, 1459 Market St., Linwood, PA. Her memorial service will be held on Friday, November 16th at 11am at the funeral home. Burial of Ashes will follow in Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, Pa.
