Beatrice P. Shortt passed away on Saturday October 1st, 2016 at Calvert Manor Nursing Home in Rising Sun, MD. She was born to the late Habakkuk and Eleanor Haines in Philadelphia, where she was raised and educated. Beatrice was a woman who was devoted to her home and family.

She is predeceased by her husband, Edwin A. Shortt who died in 1992. She is survived by 2 sons, Edwin Shortt (Diane) of Folcroft and Richard Shortt (Caroline) of Mechanicsburg; Daughter, Patricia Ridgeway (David) of Rising Sun; 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Her funeral mass will be held on Friday, October 7th at 10:30am at BVM Church 1101 Main St., Darby, PA 19023. Friends and family are invited to call from 9:30am-10:30am in church. Burial will follow in SS Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
