Barbara “Dukie” Ferreira, 84, of Upper Chichester passed away on December 8, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born to the late Jesse and Emma Watkins.  She worked as a certified nursing assistant at Naaman’s Creek Country Manor for 20 years.  Barbara was a fun-loving person who had a great sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her children and grand-children.  She also liked to spend time at her beach house in Rehoboth Beach, DE.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Dorothy Rosati.  She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Norman “Dias” Ferreira; Children, Jeff Ferreira (Donna), Jacqueline Ferreira (Scott), Janice Carlson (Otto), Jim Ferreira, and Joyce Adams (John); 9 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; Sisters, Margaret Cheyney and Charlotte Petrone.
