Annette J. Porter, 85, of Marcus Hook passed away on February 26th at Crozer Chester Medical Center. She was born in Shenandoah, PA to the late John and Mary Davidson. She later moved to Parkside, PA where she resided for many years. In her younger age, Annette enjoyed roller skating. She also like to go to the casinos and cook for family and friends. What she enjoyed most, however, was spending time with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Porter (1999); sons, Robert, Joseph, Frank, and Bruce Porter. She is survived by her children, John Porter, and Annette Porter (William); Daughter-in-law, Lori Davies; 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 5th at 12 pm at the Joseph A. Ward Funeral Home 1459 Market St. Linwood, Pa. Friends and family are invited to her viewing from 11 am—12 pm. Burial will follow in Lawn Croft Cemetery.
I am very sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you in this difficult time. I hope you may find comfort at Revelation 21:4, “And he (God) will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” We can look forward to the time when God will take away all reasons for distress and he even gives us a hope of a resurrection. (Acts 24:15) I hope this promise brings you comfort as it does me.
