Anne T. Daquanno Turturici, 90 of Folsom, Pa. died Sunday November 22, 2009 at Crozer-Chester Medical Center, Upland. She was born to Carmine and Camilla Vacallio Daquanno in Chester, where she was reared and educated.
She lived in Woodlyn for 35 years before moving to Folsom 22 years ago. She was a woman who devoted her life to her home and family. She worked in the storeroom in the receiving department for McCrory’s 5&10 in Chester for eight years.
A longtime member of the former St. Anthony’s Catholic church in Chester where she was active with the church’s St. Gabriel’s society. She was also a former member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic church in Milmont Park where she was a member of Knights of Columbus ladies auxiliary Peace council 4518 and is currently a member of St. Rose of Lima church, Eddystone.
Anne enjoyed baking Easter bread, fruit cake and cookies at Christmas, dancing and taking day trips to Lancaster Co. shopping outlets. Her television was faithfully tuned to EWTN to watch Mother Angelica and the Food network.
She is survived by her husband of 66years Carmen S. Turturici. Four sons Philip C. Turturici of Delta, Pa. Anthony Turturici of Wilmington, DE, Ronald Turturici of Windham, New Hampshire and Richard Turturici of Brookhaven. One step-sister Mary Welch of Parkside. Ten grandchildren and Seven great-grandchildren.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated 11am Wednesday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 1901 Chester Pike, Eddystone where there will be calling from 9:30 to 11 at the church. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery Swarthmore.
