Anna C. Clawson, 78 years old of Wilmington, DE passed away November 16, 2007 at Heartland Hospice. Born and raised in Marcus Hook to the late Samuel and Anna Novak Evans. Mrs. Clawson was a 1947 graduate of Ridley Park High School and was a longtime member of Holy Savior Catholic Church and a member of St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church in Wilmington DE.
For the past 9 years Mrs. Clawson has resided in Wilmington DE, prior to that she resided in Linwood. Mrs. Clawson was employed by Western Union and Weinberg’s Department Store in Chester. She was also worked for Penn Oaks Country Club as a secretary and as a waitress. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She was predeceased by her parents and siblings Samuel Evans, Mary Hearn, Nicholas Evans, Catherine Schmidt, Pauline Burns, Phillip Evans, and Joseph Evans. Mrs. Clawson was predeceased by her husband Walter Scott (Scotty) Clawson, Sr. in 1985. She is survived by her children Walter Scott (Ann) Clawson of Dunnellon, FL, Joanne (Gregory) Clawson DePaul of Claymont DE, Robert Andrew (Harriet) Clawson of Cochranville PA, Jane Marie (Joseph) Curran of Wilmington, DE, Joseph Michael (Rose) Clawson of Springfield PA, William Douglas (Cheryl) Clawson of Claymont, DE., 13 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral Mass Wednesday 11am in Holy Savior Catholic Church 108 Ridge Rd Linwood, calling 9-10:30 at Joseph A. Ward Funeral Home 1459 Market St. Linwood Wednesday morning, burial Lawn Croft Cemetery.
