Ann R. Quigley Cutter, 79 of Upper Chichester Township died Thursday August 26, 2010 at Wilmington Hospital, Wilmington, DE. Born to James P. and Rose Gallagher Quigley in Philadelphia, where she was reared and educated attending West Catholic High School graduating with the class of 1948.
A woman devoted to her home and family she also worked as a telephone operator for the former Bell Telephone Company, which later became AT&T for over 30 years before retiring in 1993. She was a member of the Communications Workers of America and the AARP.
She enjoyed painting and works of art in general. Most of all she enjoyed her time spent at the Jersey shore and more recently the Delaware beaches.
She was the wife of the late Edward L. Cutter, Sr. who died in 1977. Survived by one son Edward L. Cutter, Jr. with whom his mother made her home in Upper Chichester and one daughter Joyce DiGuglielmo of Wilmington, DE. Four grandchildren and one great-grand-daughter.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated 9:30 am Wednesday at the Immaculate Conception of Lourdes Catholic Church 8th & Green Sts. Marcus Hook. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon. Friends may call Tuesday evening after 7 and after 8am Wednesday at the Ward Funeral Home, 1459 Market St., Linwood.
