Alfred Sante “Big Al” Donato, 86, of Aston, Pennsylvania, passed away on April 2, 2024. He was born on April 27,1937 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Al honorably served in the US Army from 1960 to 1962.  Al was the beloved husband of Michelle Deveney Donato. He is survived by his sons Richard (Lorie) and Alfred (Rosa) and his four cherished grandchildren, August, Lucas, Lana, and Lila as well as Charlie, his cat. He was preceded in death by his father, Alfred A Donato and mother, Helen C. Paolini Donato.

Al was a graduate of John Bartram High School in 1955. He went on to become the owner and operator of Media Blue Print Company and New Federal Floors.  Al was a dedicated member of St. Thomas the Apostle in Glen Mills.

A man of many passions, Al was an avid golfer for many years at The Springhaven Club in Wallingford, PA. Following retirement, he served as a Ranger at Paxon Hollow Golf Course in Marple Township, PA.  Al was President of both the Media Lions Club and the Aston Township Lions Club.  He loved his golf, his red pickup truck, and penne and sausage, but he mostly he cherished his family.

Services for Al will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 430 Valleybrook Road, Glen Mills, PA, 19342 on Tuesday, April 9, 2024. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by Mass at 11:00 AM. Internment will immediately follow at the St. Thomas Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Aston Township Lions Club, P. O. Box 2052, Aston, PA 19014.
