Albert D. Scattolini, 86 years old passed away December 13, 2008 at home in Gresham, OR. Born and raised in Chester, PA to the late Giacomo and Angela Fioravanti Scattolini, Mr. Scattolini was the owner operator for Scattolini Motors in Chester for many years. He continued working well into his 80’s.
He was a WWII Veteran of the US Army serving in the European Theater of Operations. He was a longtime member of Springhaven Country Club and a longtime resident of Upper Chichester. He had been living with his daughter Karen in Gresham, OR and son Michael in Sarasota, FL for the past several years. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather brother, and uncle.
He was a former member of Immaculate Conception of Lourdes Church in Marcus Hook, an avid golfer and a devoted family man.
He was predeceased by his wife Ruth A. Scattolini in 1999, his parents Giacomo and Angela Scattolini, and his siblings Serafino, Theresa, Vera, Josephine, and Alfredo.
He is survived by his children Karen Sultzer of Gresham, OR with whom he resided, Denise Falasca of Severna Park, MD, Michael Scattolini of Sarasota, FL and Alan Scattolini of Rio Grande, NJ, two brothers Dante Scattolini of Ridley Park, PA and Louie Scattolini of West Grove, PA, 7 grandchildren, 1 great grandson, and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral service Wednesday, 12noon at Joseph A. Ward Funeral Home, 1459 Market St., Linwood, calling 10-12noon, Wednesday at the funeral home, burial following at Lawn Croft Cemetery.
