1919-2015

Mary E. Shields (nee Carry) passed away on August 11, 2015, at her home in Boothwyn where she lived with her daughter & son-in-law Trina & Donald Clark. Born and raised in Linwood, She has lived in Boothwyn since 1953. Mary was a loving & caring Mother, Granny and GiGi to all her “kids”. She had many hobbies and interests but her “kids” were her passion in life. Her home was always open to those who needed help. Her religion was very important to her and helped bring comfort to her life. She was a founding member of the Holy Saviour Women’s Club.

She is predeceased by her husband of 52 yrs Ted (Edwin), her daughter Margaret Anne & sons Timmy & Todd.

Mary is survived by her children Ted, Terry, Tommy (Denise), Thaddeus and Trina (Donald) also two special nieces, Mary Helen and Kathy.

She was Granny to 10 grandchildren: Maureen, Colleen, Christine, Eugenie, Nicole, Ryan, Jacquelyn, Andrea, Ashleigh and Brendan. She was also GiGi to 9 great grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces & nephews and sister-in-law Sarah Shields.

A viewing is scheduled for Saturday morning, August 15, from 10:00 to 11:30am, followed by Mass at 11:30am. Viewing and Mass will be held at St. John Fisher Church, 4225 Chichester Ave, Upper Chichester, PA. Burial will follow in Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery.
