Joseph F. Toth, Sr., 83, of Claymont, formerly of Upper Chichester died on November 5th at Compassionate Care Hospice in Wilmington, DE. Joe was born in Chester. He attended Chichester High School and graduated with the class of 1953. He worked as a millwright for the FMC corporation in Marcus Hook for 20 years and also as a Multicraft Mechanic for General Chemical until his retirement in 1997. He was a member of the FOE in Claymont. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, bowling and playing in many dart leagues. He also loved spending time at the Indian River Inlet, where he and his wife spent 60 years on the water.
He is predeceased by his grandchildren, Michael and Stacey Doubet. He is survived by his wife, Patricia A. Stant Toth; son, Joseph F. Toth, Jr.; daughters, Joann Doubet, Sandra Smith, and Susan Maxey; 4 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren.
His memorial service will be held on Friday, November 10th at 11:30am at the Joseph A. Ward Funeral Home 1459 Market St. Linwood, PA. Friends and family are invited to call from 10am-11:30. Burial will be private.
