Joan Leslie Kennedy, age 70, of Cecilton, Maryland passed away peacefully surrounded by family on the 25th of May, 2017. Born in Rose Valley Pennsylvania, Joan Kennedy was a longtime resident of Boothwyn, PA and Cecilton, Maryland. Anyone that knew Joan knew of her selfless ways and kind heart.
Joan was preceded in death by her Father, Dr. William Russell Levis, Jr (Grampy); her mother, Elizabeth Brown Levis (Nana) and ;her sister, Susan Levis. Joan is survived by her five children, Heidi Kennedy, Michael Kennedy, Heather Dawson Park, Holly Dawson, Brian Dawson; beloved grandchildren, David, Sara, Jay, Russell, Kaytlin, Leslie, and Lillian; two brothers, Bruce and rusty Levis; one sister, Liz Halverson.
Her funeral mass will be held at St John Fisher Church, 4225 Chichester Avenue, Upper Chichester, PA 19061 at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 2nd 2017; Friends and family are invited to call in church from 9:30-10:15. Burial will be private.
I am so so sorry for your loss. She was an amazing woman and had such an awesome family. I am lucky to have met her and been a part of it. No words can ever mend the heart ache but she will always live on through all of you. You are as beautiful as she was. My heart and prayers are with you.
