Beverly Grace McNulty, nee Nelson, 85, of Upper Chichester passed away on Friday, December 8th at Union Hospital in Elkton, MD. She was born and raised in State College, PA and was a graduate of State College High School. After relocating to Delaware County, Beverly worked as a telephone operator before becoming a full-time home maker and caring for her family. She enjoyed painting and doing puzzles. Beverly was also an athlete, playing softball for the Brookhaven women’s team along with her daughter, Jinni and coached by her husband.
She was predeceased her husband, Walter “Buzzy” McNulty; brother, Norman Nelson; parents, Esther and Russell Nelson.
She is survived by her daughter, Jinni McNulty and grandson, Billy Lee Burns, both of Earleville, MD; brother, William Nelson and his wife Carol of Boalsburg, PA; Nieces, Tracy Nelson, Stephanie Spaide, and Lisa Nelson; nephew, Kevin Nelson.
Friends and family are invited to her funeral service on Saturday, December 30 at 11am at the Joseph A. Ward Funeral Home 1459 Market St. Linwood, Pa 19061. Friends and family are invited for visitation from 10-11am. Burial will be held privately in State College, PA at a later date.
I am so sorry to hear of bees passing. I was trying to call her and forgot her phone number. I just visited her a few weeks ago,so I’m totally shocked. I met Bev at a painting class 53 years ago. I wish I had known I would have been at her memorial. Ginny I’m so very sorry. I know you wlll miss your mom very much. All my prayers go to you Lorraine

Bev and I met in 1960 and became friends. We lived in different parts of the country but spoke often. She will be missed.
