Carrie Maris, nee Rim, 93 years old, passed away August 14, 2008 at Connor Williams Nursing Home Ridley Park. Born and raised in Lattimer PA to the late Francis and Grace Liott Rim. Mrs. Maris was employed by the former American Store in Marcus Hook working alongside her husband who she married in 1945.

Mrs. Maris enjoyed crocheting and reading while sitting on her porch talking to friends, neighbors and relatives who stopped to visit her in Linwood. Mrs. Maris was a longtime resident of Linwood section of Lower Chichester and she also resided in Marcus Hook and with her son and daughter in law.

She was a member of Immaculate Conception of Lourdes Church in Marcus Hook, and a previous member of Holy Savior Catholic Church.

She is survived by her son Robert Maris and his wife Mary Maris of Chester PA who provided her care, 1 grand daughter Daria Maris, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her parents and her husband Robert Maris who passed away in 1990, also her sister Lilly Rim, Louise Campagnini, her brothers James Rim and Tony Rim.
