Ruth A. Vernon Hillson, 91, of the Boothwyn section of Upper Chichester died January 21st 2010 at Crozer-Chester Medical Center Upland. Born to Joseph L. and Emily Thawley Vernon in Linwood, where she was reared and educated. She has lived in Linwood and Boothwyn her entire life and has been at her present address for the last 19 years.

A woman who devoted her life to her home and family. She attended the Linwood United Methodist Church for many years.

Wife of the late Eino J. Hillson who died in 1968, she was also the Mother of the late Charles E. Hillson, who died in 1965. Survived by one son John J. Hillson with whom his Mother made her home in Boothwyn and one sister Judith Woodall of Walhalla, SC. Three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Her funeral service will be 11am Monday at the Ward Funeral Home, 1459 Market St., Linwood, where there will be calling from 10 to 11. Burial will follow in Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood.  On-line condolences may be sent by closing this window and clicking "Condolences".
